How is this news!?!?

A story caught my eye today, and I wanted to find out a bit more about it...
Well, after reading a bit, I began to wonder... how is this really news? And why in the hell are they going to ask him to resign for what seems to be nothing. What is going on here? A quote that made me laugh and has me really questioning, why in the hell would he resign for this: "Craig told reporters Tuesday he did not take part in "inappropriate conduct" and said he had "overreacted and made a poor decision" in pleading guilty. No sexual contact is alleged to have taken place, although the officer who arrested the senator said Craig moved his foot to touch the officer's foot while they sat in adjoining restroom stalls." <- How is this something that you can be arrested for? I don't get it. Oops, I'm sorry, I accidentally touched your foot with mine automatically leads to lets have sex in a public restroom? It makes me think back when I was younger, hanging out with my friends. We were joking around with their mother about where babies came from. (And yes, we already were well aware, because we were in college.) We stated that babies happen when two people rub feet without socks on. So I guess in Senator Craig's case, he would not have been impregnated, but he certainly was violating the personal baby making space of the police officer in the stall next to him. Of course, I could be wrong, and this could indeed be a huge deal in the long run, but seriously, let's not report on stuff like this until we actually have news to report. Thanks CNN!

What's happening?

I am so tired of watching the White Sox lose game, after game. I love them, and I'll stand behind them through the thick and thin, but they are breaking my heart. A few people do well and are somewhat consistent enough it seems, but no one else seems to be picking up the slack. They are not working together as a team anymore it seems, and it hurts to say that. That was the one thing that the White Sox had going for them. They were a team! They worked together like no one else could, and they dominated in '05 because of it. What has happened in the last two years that caused them to significantly reduce in their performance? I really wish there was an answer. But I'm just as fed up as Ozzie is. (Read this.) I know they'll bounce back, but I really wish they would bounce back sooner. Either way, I'm a huge fan of the White Sox, and whether or not they are winning or losing, I will love them, and support them. Go SOX!

Ugh!

Ok, I was watching the news this morning, and I noticed something that for one reason or another I haven't noticed in the past. Perhaps it's because I haven't been watching too much news lately because they are turning more into gossip papers and programs, versus actual news; however, what I've noticed has disturbed me. There was the horrible event at Virginia Tech, and now they are reporting that the authorities didn't act in a certain way. And apparently if they reacted in this way things could've been different. No shit! In hindsight everything could've been different. Why in the world do they have to focus on what could've been done and instead pay attention to not allowing things like this to happen again? I cannot stand the media and their wouldas and couldas and shouldas. They aren't doing anything about it, they are just aggravating people, and reporting on things that just aren't news. (i.e. Paris Hilton) I'm just so tired of it! But I'm stuck, because I still need to know what is going on in the world these days.
